A biscuit manufacturer wanted to increase sales of their individually wrapped biscuits by breaking into a new market,  selling them wholesale to the high-end airlines.

How did I work?

To get the manufacturer noticed by the purchasing departments at the airlines, analysis of the audience was carried out. This was followed by a simple but creative campaign to raise awareness of the products.

To get the manufacturer noticed by the purchasing departments at the airlines, analysis of the audience was carried out. This was followed by a simple but creative campaign to raise awareness of the products.

WHAT WORK DID I DO?

With a lack of information about what was available on the market (expensive flights were not part of the budget), desk research to understand who the key contacts were at the airline buying partner companies, along with addresses and email addresses. As these are very busy people, it was important that the campaign we ran was going to create intrigue and engagement.

Putting it all together

A ‘try me, love me, buy me’ campaign was launched. Each week, one individually wrapped biscuit was placed in a small box with a postcard which said ‘try me’ and sent to the contacts. The second week the same but with ‘love me’ and the final week with ‘buy me’ and our contact details. We then followed this up by email which were well received due to the intrigue the teaser campaign had created.

Created good relationships with key personnel at purchasing departments.

Opportunity to secure meetings for sales team to have meetings with companies to showcase biscuits and other suitable products for airlines.

Through working with airline personnel long-term we gained an understanding of what is required in their supply chain in order to create opportunities with other airline companies.
