Daffodils popping up, blossom on the trees and fluffy chicks. All things we think about when it comes to springtime, am I right? But hold on, it’s the middle of November and we’re about to be embracing Winter and Christmas! So why am I talking about spring now? It’s because it’s time to think spring marketing!
If you want to get ahead of the game and maximise sales in the months where all things blossom, now is the time to start planning and acting. I’m specifically talking about key events, like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Easter.
start your spring marketing campaign
If you have products that are great sellers during these times, this blog is for you. Here are some tips so that you can start creating the best spring marketing campaign.
Be image ready
I know I talk about prepping images a lot, but they’re needed for a whole raft of marketing activities. If you need props, get them. And get a stock of photographs ready (whether you take them yourself or use a professional photographer). Ticking this box early takes the pressure off and makes your marketing a little less stressful in the long run. But what if I don’t have products yet?
If you’re struggling to create images because you’re waiting for products to arrive, try asking suppliers for a sample. Or see if they have images that you can use. They usually have images of the product on a white background which you can use. They’re a good starting point until samples or actual products arrive.
Want to be featured?
If you’d like your brand featured in online publications or physical magazines then you need to get a wriggle on. Monthly magazines will be gearing up to work on their April and May issues now. Sending press releases and images about spring campaigns now would be a great move.
Think spring marketing on your website
You may not want to add your spring products to your website just yet, but there’s no harm talking about what’s coming in your blog. Using the right keywords this can help your SEO and it’ll be in a timely manner too. Also add some generic blogs that are focussed around the season or event. Ideas such as ways to treat mum for Mother’s Day or ways to decorate a table at Easter. It’ll give you something extra to talk about in your social posts nearer the time too!
Collaborate
Is there an Instagram account that is perfect for your audience? Or perhaps a blogger that you’d like to work with. Contact them and see if they are interested in working with you. This could help to raise your profile on social media or to increase links back to your website.
Leaping like a spring lamb
I wrote these tips so that you think spring marketing so that come March and April, you’ll be jumping for joy. Or doing a happy little dance as sales start to come in.
